YELLOW RIBBON PROJECT SONGWRITING COMPETITION 2016 CD ¨C "HOPE"

Hours and hours of training and writing paid off when these inmates made it to the finals and had the honour of having their songs recorded by local artistes such as Alemay Fernandez, Jonathan Ong (Take Two), Farisha Ishak amongst others.

Hope - was the theme of this the 2016 Yellow Ribbon Songwriting competition and we hope that after listening to the album, you will be inspired to give hope to others in need of a second chance.

We will be selling the CDs at $15 each at our office and also SCORE's office from May onwards. Watch our Facebook for updates on the launch date. All proceeds will go to the YRP funds to help inmates seeking a second chance in life. We appreciate your support.

With hope, there's hope. ¡Þ

YELLOW RIBBON PROJECT SONGWRITING COMPETITION 2017

Once again we will be heading to Singapore Changi Prison to provide songwriting courses with our trainer Rai (from Jack & Rai) along with several other mentors and with this program, we hope to impart songwriting skills onto participants to encourage putting their experiences and emotions into a musical story.

This year's theme is ¨C Beyond Here; where we encourage songwriters to be forward looking and to write about life and hopes upon release. The program has been so encouraging that SCORE has requested for it to be provided to the female participants at their cost. This will be our virgin voyage into Changi Women Prison. Auditions were held on 6th and 7th April 2017 and lessons will start in May for those who have been selected.

Semi-finals will be held in June to further narrow down participants for the Finale in July. More updates to come. ¡Þ

Hence, we will be progressively updating member records so that eventually, there will no longer be a need for members to receive their royalty cheques in the mail and then find the time to deposit the physical cheque into their bank account.

Members who wish to update their bank details, may do so by contacting the Membership Department at: membership@compass.org.sg. ¡Þ
