INVITATION: Compass 17th Annual Awards Presentation

Dear COMPASS Members & Guests,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of COMPASS, we cordially invite you to attend our:

17th COMPASS Awards Presentation scheduled on Sunday, 8th July of 2012.

Hotel & Performance venue : Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Level 5 Sands Grand Ballroom
Admission & Cocktail reception : Starts at 6.00 pm
Dinner & Performance : 7:00 pm – 11:00pm

The occasion serves to recognize local musicians and songwriters for their outstanding achievements in the preceding year. Achievement awards i.e. Top Local Pop Song, Top Local Instrumental Contemporary Music, Top Local Composer, Top Local Publisher, Top Local Artiste, are accorded based on royalty earnings.

In addition, there will also be special awards conferred to honor local musicians of their long-standing contributions to the local music industry namely; Wings of Excellence, Artistic Excellence, Meritorious Award, Patron of Singapore Music Writers and Lifetime Achievement Award.

The awards presentation is accompanied by dinner and performances. Hence, the showing for this prestigious event is expected to take three to four hours. Admission is free for addressee and a partner. To help us anticipate the number of tables and amount of food required, we need you to RSVP for your attendance. If you have done your RSVP already, kindly ignore this notification.

There are two ways you may RSVP for this event; either via SMS/EMAIL. The SMS system has been revised! You are able to view the floor plan on COMPASS’s facebook to choose your seat this year! Detailed instructions attached behind. The closing date to RSVP is 15th June 2012.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
  1. You can view table no. & floor plan on COMPASS’s Facebook. Look for www.facebook.com/Compass.For.Songwriters
  2. Floor plan on Facebook will have colour codings to indicate a table that is taken/ available.
  3. Floor plan is updated on weekdays at 3pm TBC.
  4. You may indicate more than one preferred table number, to a maximum of two requests.
  5. Seats are limited therefore ONE member is only entitled to bringing ONE partner.
  6. Additional seats are available at hotel costing of $105++ (cost of each additional seat).
  7. COMPASS reserves the right to impose a penalty for failed attendance/ no shows.
  8. The last day to RSVP is 15th June 2012. Seating arrangements will be finalized and your invitation card will be post-mailed to you; expect to receive it by 4th July 2012.
  9. Each invitation card has a unique barcode. To be permitted entry to the event, you HAVE TO present your invitation card. Each member will have one lucky draw and one instant photo opportunity. A door gift limited to one per adult will be distributed at the end of the event.
