1. Mechanical Music in Open Air $ 0.33 per square meter per year (based on floor area)
2. Mechanical Music in Amphitheatre & Theatrette $ 1.97 per seat per year
(based on seating capacity within enclosed area & where NO admission fee is charged)
3. Live & Mechanical Music in Amphitheatre (Open Air) $ 7.67 per seat per year
(based on seating capacity & where NO admission fee is charged)
4. Mechanical Music in Halls/ Rooms Containing Display/ Exhibits of Scientific/ Archaelogical Objects, Artifacs, or Still/ Live Nature
1st 100 Square metres $ 160.98 per year
Each additional 25 sq.m. $ 25.19 per year
5. Mechanical Music in Tram Cars & Monorails $ 117.18 per train per year
(based on number of trams/monorails in operation)
6. Video Wall/ Screen 
a) Where music videos are screened $ 49.28 per diagonal inch per year
b) Where screening does not involve music videos $ 42.71 per diagonal inch per year

8. Jukebox
a) Stand Alone Units $ 537.00 per unit per year
b) Linked to relay speakers* Licence fees based on mechanical music tariffs above (see 1 & 4)
*Note: If jukebox is coin-operated and linked to relay speakers, the sums payable should be computed based on 8(b) or a minimum of $537.00, whichever is higher Licence fees should not be less than 8(a) above

Annual licence fees are subject to a minimum charge of $255 above.

Notes
(1) Applications and payments must be received by our office at least 5 working days prior to commencement of the licence year.

(2) The licence fee payable for the first year of the licence will be 50% higher where the music user has not obtained COMPASS’s music licence before performing musical works in public, without prejudice to any claims by COMPASS for past unlicensed usage of musical works.
(3) Licence fees are subject to late payment interest of 10% per annum, with late interest payment for each applicable licence year calculated commencing from the first day of that licence year.
(4) COMPASS reserves the sole discretion to decide which tariff scheme applies for the music usage.
(5) Rates are subject to GST.
