Red Nov was born in 2016. The band plays short songs, with clear hooks and catchy choruses.
Most songs are originals, about life and love, about fun and about sadness.
The genre moves between rock and pop, with some funk influences.
Band Members:

Profiles:
Ben Kranen – Ben has been making music since the 1980s, first as a bass player, later as vocalist and guitarist. Ben has been recording and producing as well, and is also active in EDM, which is an influence in Red Nov’s songs: repetitive 8 bar patterns with easy hooks.
Loo Jie Ling – Jie Ling used to be a trumpeter/keyboardist and loves mandopop when she was younger. She picked up bass back in 2012 and since then, she is influenced by bands such as Incognito and Jamiroquai. As time passes, she incorporates different genres such as pop, RnB and funk into her music.
Nigel Peh – Nigel started off his musical journey listening to pop punk rock and oldies (from his dad,) from bands ranging from Green Day, Simple Plan, Yellowcard, Sum 41 to ABBA, Eagles, The Police and many more. After which, his playing became more influenced by top 40s and post-rock songs. Nigel also runs on whiskey instead of food like normal humans.
Ben Hoe – Ben started playing drums in his teens. Loves, Rock, R n B, Funk, Blues and Fusion Jazz but took a long break from music. Recently picked up his sticks and now drums the heartbeat of Red Nov.
Eileen Chai – Eileen is the violinist in the band. A former gymnast, hurdler, and springboard diver, she is the first local violinist to compose and perform original songs by live looping on the violin, with vocals. She is also the author of one of the best-seller book, “Teach a Life, for Life”, which contains anecdotes about life lessons learned through sports and music. Now, she is a successful violin teacher, who shares life lessons learnt through music.
